Is porn addiction real What are the complications

Is porn addiction real? The question that has triggered countless debates among psychologists and found its way into the pop culture is not the easiest of questions to answer. While there may be some, who argue porn encourages sexual violence, portrays women as sexual objects, and even harm relationships, there are also people who think they cannot ever be over-consumption of porn.

The idea of being addicted to porn is itself highly controversial as this is not a disorder issued in the current edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual published by the American Psychiatric Association.

How the brain functions on porn?

In a study, researchers at the University of Cambridge conducted brain scans on 19 men who were watching porn. And it was found that the reward centers of the brain that were activated on porn are the same as the centers that get activated when addicts see their choice of drugs. According to Nicole Prause, formerly a University of California researcher said that the use of porn shouldn’t be lumped with alcohol and drug addiction.

In another study, researchers gathered opinion from about 122 men and women about their viewing habits. Some of them admitted that they struggled to control their urge to watch porn while some others said that they’re perfectly okay with their frequency of viewing porn. The participants were shown a variety of images, both sexual and nonsexual in context, and their brainwaves responses were monitored through electroencephalography.

The results showed that the participant’s brain was not sensitized to sexually explicit images, contrary to the sensitization on other behavioral and substance addiction.

So what’s the verdict?

While there are people who struggle with the uncontrollable urge to watch porn, categorizing this behavior as addictive can lead to no use. So, the answer is No! Porn addiction is not real, and the chances are that there are organizations making money by selling ineffective yet expensive treatments to those who believe they are addicted. Nicole Prause said that some treatment providers claim to treat this condition but in reality do not have any evidence that the treatments indeed work.

Problems with watching too much porn

So, why are there so many people who claim that their lives have been negatively affected by excessive porn consumption? The simple answer is that watching too much sexual content can be harmful just as doing too much of everything can. Some of the other issues of porn overconsumption are:

  • Ignoring friends and family, not going to work, missing school, or failing to form meaningful relationships
  • Frequent masturbation that may lead to feeling of guilt, damage of penile tissues, desensitization to particular types of arousal stimuli
  • Failure to perform due to lack of arousal, resulting in an unhealthy sex life and low confidence
  • Experiencing erectile dysfunction due to excessive masturbation while watching porn
  • Developing a false idea about healthy sexual practices and what constitutes as safe sex
  • Attempting to imitate stunts performed by porn stars may lead to fatal injury to either of the partners
  • Porn often shows objectification of women, which may have a terrible effect on impressionable minds

Is there a solution?

Of course! But to find the solution to this problem, you must first admit that you indeed spend too much time viewing porn. After acceptance, you may have to obtain some of the steps to thwart the activity

  1. Delete all pornographic content: This includes deleting every picture and video from your computer, laptop, smartphone, or any other device that you access often. As long as the material is around, there is always a chance of you falling back to the habit.
  2. Don’t use the Internet unnecessarily: Since the web is the hub of pornographic material, it would be a wise idea to limit Internet usage unless necessary. Log out of your Wi-Fi, unplugged the ethernet cable, or use the software to block connectivity. Do whatever that is needed.
  3. Find a new hobby: People often get the urge to masturbate when they’re bored, leading to the viewing of porn more frequently. If you find yourself always bored and filled with thoughts of lust, it might be time to find a new hobby that will take much of your idle time.
  4. Seek professional help: If attempting to quit pornography by yourself has failed or is causing excessive stress in your life, it might be time to seek advice from a qualified therapist.

How to naturally boost testosterone and enjoy a healthy sex life

Does it feel like your sex drive is at an all time low? Do you feel too tired for sex? And when you do have sex, you know your performance is not living it up? All these could be signs of low testosterone. Testosterone plays a major role in having a healthy sex life and is one of the primary regulators of your libido. Lots of studies have shown that having a lower testosterone level not only affects your sex life, but it has an adverse impact on your overall health.

Irritable Male Syndrome is the term that has been coined for a new syndrome that affects men with low testosterone levels and goes beyond just a lower libido to things like lack of motivation, emotional withdrawal, anxiety, and aggression. This can often trigger self-destructive behaviors such as alcoholism and gambling.

What might be the cause?

If you feel like you can relate to a lot of the symptoms mentioned above, then you could be suffering from low testosterone. Low testosterone affects millions of men worldwide with a large percentage of them belonging in their 30s. Adverse impacts of low testosterone can go way beyond just low sex drive and mood issues to much more serious concerns such as type-2 diabetes and cardiovascular issues.

One of the biggest reasons causing testosterone levels in men to diminish is the modern lifestyle. By keeping your lifestyle in check and by staying fit and healthy, one can easily overcome issues regarding low testosterone and bring back the spice in their sex lives.

testosterone boost

Here are 7 ways in which you can naturally boost your testosterone levels:

Get proper Sleep: Several types of research conducted have shown that not getting proper sleep at night causes a significant drop in testosterone levels of men. One such study has shown that just a week of disturbed sleep and getting around 5 hours of sleep at night caused the testosterone levels of men to drop as much as by 15 percent. It is recommended that you get at least 8 hours of undisturbed sleep at night to maintain healthy levels of testosterone.

Stay in Shape: One of the biggest testosterone killers are obesity and belly fat. Studies have shown that an obese teen has half the testosterone levels as that of his healthy non obese peer. The reason behind this is that fat cells contain high levels of aromatase which is an enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen. Obesity along with low levels of testosterone working hand in hand can lead to serious weight gain issues along with hormonal imbalance which can prove to be devastating.

Thus staying in shape is a must to maintain healthy levels of testosterone. Reversing obesity can boost testosterone and make you feel wonderfully healthy.

Don’t forget your Vitamins: Vitamin A, Vitamin E and minerals like Zinc and selenium are natural testosterone boosters and are a great help for testicular function. While we may eat a lot of food every day, a majority of those foods lack these highly beneficial micronutrients or is very little in quantity. So you should definitely try using supplements to get the proper amount of these nutrients that your body requires to maintain healthy levels of testosterone.

If you do not want to use supplements and wish to get all of these nutrients out of your food, then you should include lots of carrots and kales for Vitamin A, shellfish for Zinc and selenium, sunflower seeds and almonds for Vitamin E in your diet.

Avoid getting stressed out and relax: Given our busy work life, it is indeed hard not to get stressed out, but stress is among the biggest reasons behind low testosterone and lots of other serious health problems. A pressure driven process known as “cortisol steal” leads to hormonal imbalance and testosterone production is decreased in order to produce cortisol. Stress also increases aromatase production and another enzyme named 5-alpha-reductase both of which break testosterone down.

Meditation and Yoga are great ways to boost your testosterone levels naturally. Even a 10 minute meditation session can go a long way in relaxing your mind and body, reducing stress hormones and ultimately increase testosterone.

Avoid Chemicals that harm testicles: Personal care products such as shaving creams and lotions contain parabens and phthalates while plastic bottles that we use to store water have a chemical named BPA all of which are anti-testosterone which means that they disrupt the normal production of testosterone in our body and are bad for the testicular health. Thus, using stainless steel water bottles instead of plastic ones and going for organic body care products can also help you boost testosterone levels.

Include more Fish in your diet and avoid statins: Eating more fish will reduce inflammation in the body. Inflammation is another cause of reduced testosterone. Eating fish also supports the production of healthy cholesterol which is one of the building blocks of testosterone. Fish Oil also reduces globulin which allows for more testosterone to be freely available in the body.

Statin drugs are very harmful for testosterone production in the body. The reason is that cholesterol is the building block of all the steroid hormones including testosterone and by reducing cholesterol; Statins decrease the amount of free testosterone available in the body.

More good food for your testosterone here.

Expose yourself to more sunlight: Vitamin D has been proven to increase testosterone production in the body. Countries in the higher latitudes have an epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency as they are exposed to much less sunlight as compared to countries in the tropics. Vitamin D deficiency can cause lowered testosterone levels. Thus, to boost testosterone levels, it is essential to expose yourself to 15-25 minutes of direct sunlight every day. The energy from the sun turns a chemical in our skin into Vitamin D3 which is then carried to the liver and then to the kidneys and then finally transforming it into Vitamin D3. While taking supplements for Vitamin D3 is also a choice to overcome the deficiency, sun exposure is a natural way of boosting Vitamin D and thus testosterone.

smoking causes Premature ejaculation

How premature ejaculation can affect confidence?

The term Premature Ejaculation (PE) refers to an uncontrolled release of semen either before or shortly after penetrative sex. It usually happens with least sexual stimulation and even before the person wishes it to happen. Failing to maintain an erection due to uncontrolled ejaculation may result in unsatisfactory sex and other types of anxiety issues that further add to the problem. This is one of the most common types of sexual dysfunction and has perhaps affected that every man at some point in their life.

smoking causes Premature ejaculation

What is the cause?

Even though the exact reasons have not been well documented yet, most cases of premature ejaculation did not show to have any apparent reason. Men learn to delay their orgasm as they get older and more experienced in having sex, but still, it might occur if they are with a new partner. It may also happen if the last time they ejaculated was long before and the body was just waiting for release. It can also occur due to a variety of psychological factors such as depression, anxiety, guilt, etc.

Mechanism behind PE

In layman terms, Erection is achieved due to high blood pressure in the penis. When a man experiences sexual arousal, the arteries of his penis enlarge to accommodate more blood flow while at the same time closing the outflow channels to trap the blood. When enough blood is trapped within the penis at a high pressure, it leads to the organ getting hard or erect. Premature ejaculation may occur at any point of having sex if the man becomes overly anxious and experiences release of the emergency hormones like adrenalin and noradrenalin, which may reach the penis circulation within a split second and instantly reverse the erection mechanism.

The situation gets worse when the man suffering from PE find themselves struggling with performance anxiety that leads to a downward spiraling cycle of intense performance anxiety and erectile failure.

Adverse effects of PE on mental health

Premature ejaculation can cause problems between sexual partners and lead men into believing that they are inadequate. Studies have shown that most cases of early ejaculation can be attributed to erectile dysfunction. Men who consistently experience this might be because of some kind of hormonal imbalance, psychological reasons, or due to medication.

PE puts a lot of stress on the relationship and makes the man feel unmanly because they reach orgasm quicker than their partner. It doesn’t give them the time to completely understand and satisfy their partner’s needs, which makes the partners feel uncared for and loved. But the greatest damage perhaps happens to the man’s self-confidence as they may feel unworthy of having sex.

However, happenings of the bedroom are not limited within the confines of the four walls because failure to perform can also affect a man’s entire life. The effects on mental health are disastrous, and it can lead to depression and a general sense of feeling unworthy.

Is there any cure for PE?

If you have premature ejaculation, do not worry because this condition is treatable. Since PE occurs due to a large number of reasons, your doctor will conduct a thorough physical exam for diagnosis. It’s common for doctors even to talk to the patient’s partner, so don’t be surprised if your doctor asks you too. Seeking medical attention is often the last resort for men as it looks for an underlying problem that would not be curable by any particular exercise or penetrative technique.

But before going to the doctor, you can wait for an answer if the premature ejaculation starts getting better with time, in which case treatment would be unnecessary. Relaxation techniques and distracting methods may also help delay PE and make you last longer in bed. There are unique types of condoms available that reduce the sensation of the tip of the penis that may help delay climax as much as possible. But as a preventive method, it is best that you stop smoking, drinking excess alcohol, or taking recreational drugs.

Current evidence supports that the average time a man can last in penetrative sex is around 4 to 8 minutes, among those who are of the ages between 18 and 30. People experiencing PE usually these climax within a few seconds or last a maximum of 1 to 1.5 minutes. If this is the case for you, take a look at VigRX Plus, it helps you keep a strong erections and prevents premature ejaculation, check out my review here.

“How big is too big?” – here’s what women think about penis size

By now almost everyone can agree that the size of the penis does matter; but does that mean bigger is necessarily better? According to many surveys conducted around the world, many women said that they are afraid of penises that are too big as they have the chance to hit their cervix. The painful experience does not only stop at the woman crying or moaning in pain, but also the man who is above 8 inches feel horrible about himself because they hurt someone they care for. So the thought “how big is too big” is a valid one, which is on the minds of men and women alike.

What’s the perfect size?

If you’re a man and self-conscious about the size of your penis, then you probably know that “too small” does exist. There may be women who may say that they are satisfied with penises on the lower end, but that might not be the sole truth. Generally, anything smaller than 4.5 inches can be considered as too small for the majority of women’s preferences.

The vagina of the average woman is around 4 inches deep, which may extend up to 5 inches in some cases. The figure and height of women also determine their vaginal depth. According to women, they prefer a man that can “fill her up” and still leave a space inside of her.

So, the definitive answer is that most women prefer a man who is between 5 and 7.5 inches long. But here’s the fun part- most women also say that size isn’t the crucial factor that comes into play in having a satisfactory sex life. Anything under 5 inches may be too small for women who are of average depth while a penis that is more than 8 inches will be too big. While the average size of the male penis ranges between 5 and 6.5 inches in length, based on ethnicity, the global average can be considered as 5.75 inches.

Ethnicity and the average size

According to a comprehensive survey, it was found that the scale of the penis is only a half inch apart by race. The average size of an Asian person (including India) is 5 inches, Europeans or white population have an average of 5.5 inches, South Americans or Hispanics have 6 inches, and Blacks or Africans have an average length of 6.5 inches. As you can see the difference is only half inch apart. Also, contrary to the popular belief, height, weight, and size of feet has nothing to do with the penis size.

The 6’3″ person, who weighs 250 lbs can be 4.5 inches large while a 5’6″ man weighing 140 pounds could be carrying an 8 inches penis inside of their pants. Flaccid size also varies widely, and there is no way to tell how big a man’s penis would be by just taking a look at the flaccid size.

The girth factor

Many men tend to forget that more than length, the girth is a big factor. The girth a.k.a. Circumference is used to denote the thickness of a penis and it plays a much more valuable role than the length, according to many women. The standard respectable girth is 5 inches; 6 inches of girth is modest among women as 7 to 8 inches in length is two males. However, if the girth is more than 6.5 inches, it may become difficult for most women to handle. 5.5 to 6 inches is what is loved by women, and anything beyond that is asking for trouble.

So now you know that 7.5 inches are the ideal length while 6 inches is the perfect girth. If you talk to most women and ask about their opinion about the perfect size, most of them will tell you that it really doesn’t matter. But the fact is that most women who haven’t been with a lot of partners, wouldn’t know much about the most satisfying size.

If you are worried about being too small for satisfaction, the chances are that you’ve raised the standards too high by watching porn where all the male actors are over 8 to 9 inches in length. Sure, you might also be smaller than average, but there is hardly any reason to worry because you can always do certain exercises and take supplements to grow the length and girth of your penis. So, do not worry because there’s more to sex than just size.

Foods that causes erectile dysfunction

One of the easiest and most natural ways to improve your sexual health is through a change in the diet. Though it might sound unconventional, there are a lot of foods that contribute towards Erectile Dysfunction (ED). One of the principal causes of erectile dysfunction is fatty foods. Fat damages the arterial system that is responsible for carrying blood to all parts of the body including the penis. Thus, the best way to not fall prey to this life-wrecking disorder is to avoid foods that cause Erectile Dysfunction as well as other lifestyle changes.

foods that causes erectile dysfunction

What is Erectile Dysfunction?

This is a disorder where a man has a regular difficulty in getting and maintaining an erection which is firm enough to facilitate sexual penetration. There are several causes of Erectile Dysfunction, which may be medical and psychosocial in nature. There are different courses of therapy to treat this disorder, among which a change in diet is the easiest way.

5 Top foods that causes erectile dysfunction

  1. Red meat: Fat from red meat and cholesterol is not only bad for your heart, but it also has adverse effects on your performance in the bedroom. This is because your Heart health and Sexual health are interrelated. If you do not have a good heart health due to poor blood circulation, you would have a much harder time achieving and maintaining an erection. A good cardiovascular health is critical in order to prevent this disorder. In fact, erectile dysfunction is an early sign of upcoming heart troubles. Thus, cutting down on red meat is a good first step towards improving your cardiovascular health and thus your sexual health.
You can do this by replacing the meat in your diet with other healthier sources of protein such as plant protein sources and fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids. There are several fats which are actually beneficial for your heart’s health such as the fats which are found in avocados and nuts.
  2. Fried Foods: Fried foods are another leading cause of heart troubles and thus is also bad for sexual health. Cooking oils, when heated to high temperatures while cooking is one of the unhealthiest foods for your heart and are one of the main causes of heart diseases. They have also been known to cause a few types of cancers and complications related to high cholesterol. Fried foods rich in oil cause you to gain weight which further leads to hormone imbalances leading ultimately to erectile dysfunction.
Therefore, foods like French fries, doughnuts, fried meats and a majority of the fast foods are very detrimental to your sexual health, and you are better off avoiding them altogether. Fried foods are also known to be a cause of prostate cancer benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It is indeed hard to give up on fast food but making fast foods a daily part of the diet is severely damaging and makes you prone to erectile dysfunction.
  3. Foods packed in Cans and Plastic: Bisphenol-A (BPA) found in the linings of canned products and plastic products is a chemical that is known to contribute towards ED. BPA is known to cause inhibition of sexual hormones, which leads to highly decreased sex drive in men. There are lots of researches that link this chemical to Erectile Dysfunction and decreased sexual desire. BPA can even lead to infertility and other hormonal imbalances. Thus, it is best for you to avoid canned vegetables and meat which are stored in plastic.
While most vegetables are good for the heart’s health as well as sexual health, veggies that are stored in cans have high levels of BPA. BPA can also be found in most plastic containers such as water bottles and other stuff in which we store food. Therefore, look for products which are “BPA free” and it is advisable to use ceramic and glass containers for the purpose of storing food.
  4.  Soy: Soy and other similar foods are processed foods that are rich in carbohydrates and have lots of unhealthy fats. These can have an estrogenic effect which means that these foods contain substances that mimic estrogen. Estrogen is a female hormone which men have in trace quantities. It is essential to maintain a good balance of testosterone and estrogen to achieve ideal sexual health and strength, but foods like Soy completely mess up this balance and highly increase chances of falling prey to erectile dysfunction. Thus, you should avoid Soy completely as well as flaxseed which is another food high in estrogen.
Flax seed has 379,380 micrograms of estrogen per 100 grams and soy has 103,920 micrograms per 100 grams which are ridiculously high amounts. An exception to Soy is fermented Soy, which is popular in Asia and is a much healthier form of Soy.
  5. Alcohol: Alcohol not only lowers your inhibitions but it also reduces your performance in bed as well as your erection. Drinking regularly (more than 2 drinks in one day) can rapidly lower your testosterone levels and almost eliminate it from your bloodstream by decreasing the production of testosterone. You might have noticed performance issues after a night of heavy drinking. Alcohol not only causes this disorder but also leads to issues regarding arousal and achieving a satisfying sexual health.
Abusing alcohol leads to a deficiency of Vitamin A which in turn might cause erectile problems and even sterility. While heavy drinking is already proven to be a major cause of ED, research is ongoing on whether moderate drinking might also lead to ED. So it is best to keep the drinking on a low to avoid problems with an erection as well as a lot of other health issues.

Other foods you should avoid

Foods which have very high sugar contents should be avoided to reduce the risk of ED. Dairy products, cream are some foods that are rich in sugar and is best avoided or consumed in moderate amounts. It is also advisable to avoid foods that are rich in sodium.

Sodium rich foods increase the blood pressure and thus lead to complications in cardiovascular health. Also, smoking is one of the leading causes of erectile dysfunction and lung cancer, thus should be avoided.

low testosterone

Can low testosterone production cause decreased libido?

Testosterone is a hormone produced by the human body, specifically in the testicles of men. Among many functions, it typically stimulates the production of sperm and regulates sex drive. It also helps in building bone and muscle mass. The production of testosterone generally decreases as men get older, and this brings along certain symptoms that cannot be considered to be favorable. The level of testosterone production peaks during puberty and begins declining after the age of 30. According to research, testosterone production reduces by 1% every year after the age of 30.

As testosterone helps maintain numerous essential bodily functions, the decline in level may lead to lower sex drive, less sperm production, difficulty in gaining muscle mass, more fat consumption, and increased production of red blood cells.

Researchers haven’t yet found out how much of an influence testosterone has on libido, but it is known that the testosterone production starts to decline from the time the man reaches 30 years of age.

Libido varies widely between men, and what one may consider as high sex drive the other may think of as low. Also, testosterone is not the only factor that influences sex drive; stress, mood, sleep, opportunities for sex, all play a role in determining sex drive a person. Because of these reasons, it is almost impossible to define what level of sex drive constitutes as “normal”.

It’s important to remember that low testosterone is just one cause of lower libido. But it can be said for certain that when testosterone level hits a certain low, all men are bound to experience a decline in sex drive. In a study of men held in Massachusetts, the researchers asked men about their level of sex drive. Around 11% of men said that the feel their sex drive is lacking. Then, the researchers went on to test testosterone levels of those men and found out that 28% of men with low testosterone had a lower libido.

Low testosterone and lack of libido can be fixed with VigRX Plus pills, check out my personal review here.

Consequences of low libido in men

Low sex drive: Testosterone plays an influence on a role in controlling sex drive in both males and females. While a decline in sex drive is common with increasing age, people with lower level of testosterone are more likely to experience a sharp drop in his sexual desire. This may hamper personal relationships and lead to trouble is in a marriage.

Difficulty in maintaining an erection: Those who have lower libido face problems with not only getting ‘turned on’, but also even if they do, it is difficult for them to remain in that state. Since testosterone stimulates sex drive and men, it also helps in achieving an erection by triggering certain brain receptors to produce nitric oxide. All this plays a role in the low level of libido.

Problem in relationships: Low libido can cause severe incompatibility issues among two partners, as one may feel the need to have sex multiple times a day while the other may not feel like having even once. It could also lead to issues related to performance anxiety, where the man might feel inadequate and less manly after failing to satisfy his partner sexually.

Lack of desire in pursuing relationships: Men who have lower libido may not have the drive to meet potential mates because a part of their sexuality is repressed. While this may not seem like a problem to the man, but over time it can take the strain on his life as he may miss out on having genuine companionship.

Is there a cure for low libido?

Thankfully, the cause of low libido can often be traced back to low testosterone production, psychological issues, hormonal causes, and medical problems. While all of these issues are treatable to some degree, the natural lowering of testosterone is something that is inevitable. If you feel you have lower libido because of any of the conditions mentioned, then get in touch with a doctor and get a proper diagnosis done.

Once the diagnosis is complete, proceed as per the physician’s instructions and take medicines as necessary. There are also foods that act as natural sex drive boosters, which you may take as preventive measures.

Masturbation myths and erectile dysfunction?

Masturbation is a regular physical function that countless men and women practice in their sex life for a variety of reasons. While this act may be considered as just as natural as eating or breathing, many people still believe in various myths that are just as ridiculous as they sound. From losing hair to becoming blind, there is no lack of baseless claims made by those who are against masturbation and believe it to be “impure.” However, whether you like to hear it or not, there is some correlation between masturbation and erectile dysfunction that cannot be ignored.

Don’t worry; masturbating will not lead to you not able to get hard over time, but it may contribute to ED causing factors if you overdo it. How much masturbation is too much? Well, let’s get into the details.

When can masturbation cause ED?

There is no globally agreed upon the number which constitutes as the safety threshold for masturbation, and it can be safely said that frequency is entirely relative. Means, you can masturbate safely as many times as you want as long as you’re not avoiding social responsibilities and obligations, not attending school or college, and not feel guilty or depressed after the act. Masturbation is healthy as long as you’re not using it as an escape mechanism from reality.

So, when can masturbation cause erectile dysfunction? Studies have shown that frequent masturbation can make a man get used to a certain kind of touch or vibration of their own hand, which may lead to habituation to a particular sensation that a partner cannot provide. As a result, he may have difficulty in getting erect or having an orgasm when engaging in sexual activity with a partner. That’s all there’s to it as far as the correlation of masturbation and ED is concerned.

Masturbation Myths busted!

Now that we’ve established that masturbation is a healthy and safe sexual activity let’s get into busting some myths that people still believe in this day and age.

Myth 1: People in relationships don’t masturbate

Reality: This is a highly common myth that is shared as jokes or even practical life advice. However, this claim cannot be further away from the truth as many sexologists have already declared that people do masturbate regardless of their relationship status. The reason behind the propagation of this idea may have come from those individuals who get jealous when the partner masturbates everything they’re not good enough to please them. It’s important to remember that different people have varying levels of desire and some people even need to masturbate to be satisfied.

Myth 2: Masturbation is an unusual aspect of development

Reality: JAMA pediatrics published a study in December 2011 that surveyed more than 800 teenagers aged between 14 and 17 and asked if they masturbate. The results showed that 74% of boys and more than 48% of girls indulge in self-pleasing. According to Dr. Shuey, masturbation is good because humans are sexual beings, and it’s completely safe for people of different ages to masturbate.

Myth 3: Masturbation has no health benefits

Reality: If anything can be further away from the truth, then this would take the cake. There are various health benefits associated with this act such as reduced stress and tension, better sleep, improved concentration, fewer headaches, and optimum testosterone production levels. The reason you feel relieved after masturbating is that reaching orgasm releases dopamine into our brain, which is known as a “feel good” chemical that stimulates the brain’s reward and pleasure centers.

Myth 4: Children should not indulge in masturbation

Reality: Experts are of the opinion that masturbation is healthy at any age. Even kids have been observed to touch and explore the feeling of the genitals. Parents should introduce the subject of sexual wellness much before the child reaches teen years and help them become comfortable with their own bodies. Teaching children that touching themselves for sexual pleasure is a normal part of living and should be practiced in Private. A good conversation about masturbation and other sexual health can avoid awkwardness between parents and children as well as help the children grow up into healthy adults.

Myth 5: Masturbation can make one go blind

Reality: Another ridiculous myth coming straight out of the ages when people used to believe that sex was only about procreation. Because masturbation isn’t about making babies, many religious clerics declared it as a blasphemy and forbade people to take part in this act. But guess what other things people also believed in the old days? Tuberculosis, insanity, hairy palms, and death are all possible adverse effects of masturbation while none of these things are actually true.

Precautions to take for safe masturbation

Since many experts suggest that masturbation is the safest form of sex, it is safe to conclude that there are no risks of getting sexually transmitted diseases or making someone pregnant. But, improper or reckless techniques can prove to be damaging as it may lead to irritation and tearing of the skin of the penis. Habitually masturbating while facedown or thrusting against the pillow can injure the urethra in a way that may lead to problems in controlling the spray of urine.

In rare cases, masturbation can also be the cause of penile fracture, which is a painful condition commonly caused by striking the penis really hard. Needless to say, it is extremely painful and requires surgical methods to treat. There aren’t any “precautions” to take per se, just sticking to a tried and tested technique and doing a bit of research before experimenting is all that’s needed for safe masturbation.

Now you know that masturbation is perfectly safe if you do it the correct way and do not indulge in it so much that it causes a rift between you and your life obligations. Never mind the naysayers, there will always be people spreading rumors and supporting myths; all you have to do is develop a healthy and sex-positive attitude towards life to enjoy to the fullest.

Penis exercises – The most natural way to enlarge your penis?

At some point in time in our lives, a lot of men have had their share of insecurities regarding the size of their penis unless of course, they were lucky enough to have been very well endowed. A lot of men often have had questions such as ”Is it big enough to please her?” hounding their minds now and then. These insecurities can drastically affect the confidence and lead to depression in a lot of cases

The average size and how to go beyond

The average Penis size according to researchers as per world’s standards is estimated at 5.1 inches. And anything less than 4.5 inches is considered to be small. Thus, a lot of men who are faced with this issue of being not so well endowed would want to know if there were any ways to increase the size of the penis naturally. If you are faced with such an issue, then this article is for you.

While there are hundreds of advertisements all over the internet that claim that their “magic pill” can increase the size of the penis by as much as 4-5 inches. But the truth is that almost all of them are nothing but a farce. But worry not, since there are indeed ways to increase the penis size, and that too naturally and this article will provide you a ton of helpful information regarding just that. This article will give you 6 highly efficient and natural ways in which you can increase the size of your penis.

1. The Penis Stretching Exercise

One highly effective tactic which can allow you to add some inches to your penis is some stretching exercises for your penis. While it does sound a bit funny, but it actually works. Stretching exercises for your penis involve the following steps.

  1. Firstly, grab the upper portion of the penis or the `head’ of the penis, also known as phallus firmly. Do not grip it too tightly so as to disrupt the normal circulation of blood in the penis.
  2. You then need to pull and stretch it outwards in front of you with just enough force to fell a painless stretch towards the shaft and base of your penis. Make sure you do not pull too hard as that can cause damage.
  3. Hold the penis in that position for around 20-25 seconds.
  4. Let it go and give it a rest for a minute and then repeat.

Doing this once every day for around 5-10 minutes will show results within a month.

2. Avoid Fatty Foods and live an active life

Consuming foods that are high in fats and calories (Junk food) while at the same time living a sedentary lifestyle can cause your penis to shrink significantly. Not only that, but this can also lead to serious fertility problems as well as a degradation of overall health. Lack of physical activity increases cholesterol in your arteries thus disrupting the proper circulation of blood in the penis leading its shrinkage. So making a few healthy lifestyle choices has been known to increase the size of the penis significantly.

3. The Thumb Stretch Method

This is another stretching exercise for the penis which has been known to yield good results in a lot of cases. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Get a grip of the tip of the penis with one hand not too tightly and neither too soft. Just hold it naturally and make sure you do not cut off normal blood supply to the penis.
  2. Using the thumb of the other hand, place the thumb on the base of the penis and pull it gently so as to feel a stretch towards the base.
  3. Just like the other method, hold it in this exact position for around 20 seconds.
  4. Take short break and repeat the entire process once again. Do this for 3-5 minutes a day.

4. The Klegs

Klegs is an exercise that is widely known to be beneficial for women’s health in a lot of ways. However, it is not so widely known that this exercise can also help you to make your penis appear larger by maintaining proper control over the erection.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. First, you need to identify and locate the position of your Pubococcygeus Muscle by a method of stopping your urine flow naturally.
  2. After you find this muscle, you need to start contracting it daily around 20-30 times.
  3. When you master this technique of contracting the Pubococcygeus muscle, you can go for more contractions every day.

After a good period of doing this, you will be able to control this muscle, and that will allow more blood to flow to your penis thus boosting the length and girth of your erection. This method is a bit hard but highly effective.

5. The Opposite Pull Method

The opposite pull exercise is a little weird and might sound a little scary, but it is just as effective as the other methods.

In order to do this method, the steps you need to follow are:

  1. Grip the tip of your flaccid phallus with the help of your right hand. Grip it naturally just as the other methods.
  2. Put the left hand towards the beginning of the base of the penis and then pull with both the hands in opposite directions lightly.
  3. Do not pull it too hard as that will be dangerous for the penis. Instead, a gentle pull will be just enough.
  4. You will feel a stretch between the base and the phallus while you do this. Do it for just 10 seconds and then give it a break.
  5. Repeat this technique for 5 minutes every day.

6. No Smoking

Smoking is the worst enemy of your total reproductive health. Not only is smoking proven to shrink penis size, but it can also lead to a decrease in testosterone causing a lot of other hormonal imbalances that can cause shrinkage of the penis. Minute particles from the smoking block the arteries thus damaging the healthy flow of blood to the penis as well as to all other parts of the body. Lower blood supply to the penis causes it to shrink, and your erection is also severely affected.
